Morphe 35B Palette Review and Swatches

I'm sure if you follow a lot of blogs or youtubers you've heard a lot of hype on Morphe Brushes.

They're known not only for their high end (but cheap) brushes, but also their insanely affordable eyeshadows and palettes!

So while my brush collection has nearly hit its limits, I couldn't resist picking up some of the brand's shadows.

Now first off I got the 35B, Glam Color Palette.

It's a 35 color eyeshadow palette that contains almost any color you might need. From soft peaches, to bright greens, all the way to smokier blues.

This is essential for anyone looking to expand their kit, or just wanting to play around with some fun colors!

Packaging: 9/10
I personally love the packaging!
It's just a large, plastic black palette with a small mirror and a few foam applicators on the inside.
Now I can see why some people say it seems cheap, but it certainly doesn't look it.
The palette is sleek and professional, and seems like the best possible packaging for 35 full size eyeshadows.

Eyeshadow Quality: 9/10
Overall, the pigmentation of this palette is OUTSTANDING.
However, I was disappointed with about 1 out of every 10 shadows (hence 9/10).
It wasn't that they weren't good quality, they just weren't as great as some of the other shades.
Other than that, they were pigmented, not very chalky, and lasted forever on my lids!

Price: 10/10
This palette was only $19.99!
That's about $0.57 per shadow, which is insane compared to about $6 for makeupgeek and $10 for MAC.

Overall: 9.3/10
This is possibly the best value for any eyeshadow palette I've ever seen!
And despite the bright colors, a lot of them are very easy to use on an everyday basis as well as for a simple pop of color.
I'd have to say that a lot of these shadows were comparable to makeupgeek which is often said to be similar to or even better than MAC!
For only $20, I couldn't live without it.

Swatches:
The colors in this palette don't have names or even numbers unfortunately, so the swatches are done by rows, and don't have color descriptions under them.
Also note that all of these were done with one swipe, so I didn't layer up the colors to get this pigmentation!

Bh Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Palette Review & Swatches

Bh Cosmetics “Galaxy Chic” Baked Eyeshadow Palette

Now I’m a sucker for overpriced high end makeup products, but at only $12.00, this might be my favorite palette I’ve ever owned.

And not just because of the price, but because it’s AMAZING!

Not to mention the adorable space theme.

Before I start raving too much, let’s cover the basics.

Packaging: 9/10
Although this is just a typical cardboard palette, it’s sturdy as heck!
Another bonus is that it has a mirror, and the cover is flexible enough to fold over if you’re wanting to hold the palette with one hand.
The only thing I don’t like about it is the cover! It makes it look like a cheap $12.00 palette! It looks like something my little sister would use, but I’ll survive.

Eyeshadow Quality: 10/10
Who knew Bh Cosmetics had such fantastic baked eyeshadows??
They’re ultra pigmented when dry, so I can’t wait to see how they apply when wet.
Some people might find them a bit powdery, but I didn’t have a problem with that.

Price: 10/10
I would pay $50.00 for this palette, so at $12.00 it’s a steal!
Enough said.

Overall: 9.7/10
I can’t even tell you how much I love this palette! The color variation is fantastic, and there isn’t a single shade that doesn’t amaze me.
Also, the space names for each of the shadows are so much fun!
Literally the only con here is the front cover, but that’s something I’m willing to deal with.

Swatches and Color Descriptions:

TOP ROW:
Sun: A peachy rose (Shimmer)
Jupiter: A bright, neon coral (Shimmer)

Saturn: An orange tinted gold (Shimmer)
Venus: A bright, true orange (Shimmer)

Comet: A perfect balance of blue/green (Shimmer)

If you don't already own this palette, I'd say give it a try! You won't be disappointing; it's just so beautiful!

So head on over to Bh Cosmetics to pick one up:

Stila "In the Moment" Palette Review & Swatches

Stila In the Moment Palette
Stila “In the Moment” Eyeshadow Palette

Attention all purple lovers, I think I’ve found your new best friend.

The Stila In the Moment Palette is any purple (or even neutral) lover’s paradise!

It holds 10 super pigmented shadows as well as a Stila smudge stick all centered around purples, creams, and coppers.

One word: gorgeous.

Now let me hit on a few things.

Packaging:  7/10
I’m a big fan of cardboard palettes; however, I don’t know if I would call them sturdy.
Another downfall is that it lacks a mirror.
But it makes up for this with its sleek purple color, and metallic accents.
So it’s safe to say that the palette will look adorable on your vanity, but I don’t know if I would take it traveling or throw it around anytime soon.

Eyeshadow Quality: 10/10
Stila makes some of my all time favorite shadows!
These especially have a super creamy consistency and come across incredibly pigmented.
But the best part is that with or without an eyeshadow primer, these shades aren’t going anywhere. There’s no doubt that they’ll last ALL day.

Price: 10/10
This Palette is usually $39.00, and well worth it too!
BUT Stila currently has them on sale for nearly half off at $20.00 which is insane.
I would pay nearly triple that!

Overall: 9/10
This is certainly an essential palette is you love purple and warm brown shades, or if you’re looking to add a little bit of color to your eyes without going over the top.
And for the price, it can’t be beat.

I’d say this is a must buy!

Top Row (L to R): Instinct, Impulse, Glance, Improvise, Catalyst
Bottom Row (L to R): Desire, Wonder, Spontaneous, Whim, Captivate

Swatches and Color Descriptions:
Instinct: A creamy white highlight with a pink undertone (shimmer)
Impulse: A light pinky lavender shade (shimmer)
Glance: A velvety mid-tone purple (satin)
Improvise: A deep true purple (matte/satin)
Catalyst: A black with purple tones and flecks of glitter (shimmer)
Desire: A neutral peachy cream highlight (Matte)
Wonder: A pink toned tan (Satin)
Spontaneous: A metallic bronze brown (Shimmer/Metallic)
Whim: A warm chocolatey brown (Matte/Satin)
Captivate: An in between of dark brown and plum (Shimmer)

Note: Desire doesn't show up on me because it is my EXACT skin tone, not because it isn't pigmented!
